Bulldog 2007 Article 117

(8-2-07)

How much does a Progressive supe cost?(only 3 left from 2000 class)

It was pitiful to watch Aaron Peskin at yesterday’s meeting of the Budget and Finance Committee. He had his cheeks all rouged up. He had a rose firmly clenched in his teeth and was propped back with his feet in the stirrups ready to receive the ‘big one’ from the top ‘playahs’ at Earth Link. And, they rejected him as damaged goods.

Naw, they wouldn’t be getting a cherry here. Aaron had already given it up to Comcast and Home Depot and any of a host of other Downtown big boys. There was plenty of film to document those facts and the new CEO at Earthlink was clearly afraid of catching something from the SF Board President.

If the Board President can’t give it away, how the hell can a lowly District supervisor make a dime by lying on their backs and closing their eyes?

You could endorse the Mayor

As reported exclusively in yesterday’s Fog City Journal, that’s what District 11’s Gerardo Sandoval did yesterday. He even tossed in an endorsement of Julio Ramos, the Downtown shill who had a brief political fling with Matt Gonzalez a few years back.

Like Rodney Dangerfield though, Sandoval gets no respect. His shift to the right over the past couple of months has gotten virtually no air play (except for on the Bulldog – no thanks needed Gerardo, just doing our job) … get’s no condemnation for changing sides and voting in favor of gentrification and air pollution.

Is Jake too dumb to know he was bribed?

Aaron Peskin took time off from clearing away the rouge with some cold cream and said according to the Chron’s Robert Selna:

“Jake McGoldrick is a profoundly moral individual
and has consistently cast his votes from a principled
position and not been influenced in any way by the
politics of money … “

As Peskin made these statements, he was busy scooping up hundred dollar bills that kept falling from his various pockets. While admitting that the money came from the same source that had bribed Jake, he said that he didn’t vote for the guys who gave him the money. This time.

Nope, it wasn’t necessary. Jake took over the lead spot in the sell-out brigade of the 2000 Progressive Board for this vote and Peskin didn’t have to be the swing. Anyone who thinks Peskin wouldn’t have stepped up to wipe out the wishes of the Latino neighborhood involved hasn’t watched the Board for awhile.

Peskin, Sandoval and McGoldrick are no longer Progressives. Sophie Maxwell never was. All that remains are Ammiano, Mirkarimi and Daly and as proven by Tom’s vote yesterday to give away the transmission rights for alternative energy in the Bay for the next 67 years … Ammiano can be had too (I know, he did it for Brad Benson who was his aide for over a decade and now represents the putrid pile of garbage called the SF Port Authority).

It’s all Peskin’s fault

Peskin lowered the standards of the Board and is continuing to do so. From the minute he let Pier chase him from the top perch on the podium occupied for a hundred years by other Board presidents, it was slippery-slope all the way.

He used his power to close down Savoy-Tivoli because his wife didn’t like the noise. He bullied the Board into passing a silly-ass prohibition against feeding the Parrots of Telegraph Hill because his wife didn’t like their singing. He favors a useless 2 billion dollar subway to Chinatown cause Rose Pak has him by the balls. Are we seeing a theme here?

He gave away the Marina harbors to the rich for the next 50 years. He is poised to hand-off our golf courses for a similar amount of time. Yesterday, as mentioned, he guided the PG&E supported Trans Bay Cable project selling our energy future.

What to do, what to do

Be grateful the coalition lasted as long as it did. And, choose better candidates for the Board of 2008. Start now. By, for instance, not defending McGoldrick against the recall petition. He no longer deserves our support, nor should he get it. We’ve carried this flatulent windbag for 7 years and it is time to lay down the load.

Does that seem cruel, Jake? Well, how cruel is it for you to drive more Latinos out of the Mission? The developer will price 9 of 60 condo units below market rate? You know how that works, Jake? Allow me to explain.

When developers are required to provide below-market on-site condos, the majority members of the condo associations (who are rich) simply raise the monthly maintenance dues on all the tenants to build things they don’t need, or simply to keep a stash of cash in the bank.

This is all perfectly legal and its only real effect is to make it impossible for the below-market buyers to afford their combined monthly costs. So, they sell to the highest bidder and you have total gentrification which was the goal all along anyway.

Chronicle discovers Uncle Toms!!(promise to ‘trickle-down’ cash to flocks)

Amos Brown took $5,000 a week from Arnold Schwartzenegger during the last gubernatorial campaign. Even though, Arnold is a Republican and Amos claims to be a Democrat. The not-so-good Reverend Brown explained that he took the money because he liked the governor’s positions on the issues. When asked which issues he was referring to, Amos was unable to think of one. Perhaps it was on the issue of bribing Uncle Tom preachers?

I’ve been writing about these bastards for years. Sam Singer gives them thousands for themselves and big stacks of ten dollar bills, sandwiches and free bus rides to da Hall for their unemployed neighbors. It was the same before Singer but the faces of the ‘Willie brigade’ remain the same ones who have always gotten the money and screwed their parishioners. I guess it’s just the natural order of things with preachers and priests and rabbis and mullahs or whatever the hell.

Chicken vs Wolf in mayoral debate(Grasshopper in wings)

Not to mention the Clown whose Oakland residency might become an Ed Jew problem. And, of course, there’s the Jesuit priest who wants to run naked in the park (what, the rectory isn’t good enough?). Then, there’s the mysterious ‘homeless guy’ Cecilia Vega seems fixated upon (is that me, honey?). How the hell do SF voters take the opposition to Newsom seriously?

They’re not supposed to … that’s the point!

Gavin Newsom can be beaten in November and I am just the guy who can beat him. He is a cardboard cut-out with an attached tape recorder. He has never held an honest job in his life. He is a boot-licker and a lackey to the worst of the City’s greedy.

How can Eric Jaye hide Gavin’s warts?

By using the oldest trick in a magician’s book. That would be misdirection. Keep Gavin away from venues where he might be disclosed as the paper-mache’ dildo he actually is. No press conferences that are not carefully stacked and no voter approved ‘Question Time’ with ‘Aaron and the 7 thieves’.

And, above all, maneuver to make all of his opponents in the coming election (96 days and counting) … making em all look like fringe lunatics. As always, the Chronicle will look at their GAP and Wells Fargo advertising and play along.

A front page story featuring the clown from Oakland gets the ball rolling. And on and on. Back to the point.

Josh Wolf and John Renaldi are serious candidates

They’ll be debating in a mutual fundraiser this next Monday at John’s place at 3352 Caesar Chavez just off Mission. Starts at 9pm. They need about 4 grand apiece to get into the race by the deadline which is 4 days after the party on the 10th. Hey, wait. 8 grand? Isn’t that almost exactly the amount that Barbary Coast raised for Jake McGoldrick the night before he provided the swing vote for their gentrifying clients? Perhaps Alex Clemens would like to invite the same developers to Rinaldi’s place on August 6th?

Wolf and Renaldi are about free speech and the environment. You’d never get that from the Chronicle coverage but it is a stone fact. Come listen to them for yourself. And, have a good time too.

I gotta go cat sit with my buddy, Lark.

Maybe have a joint with the Narco-Nomads.

Keep walking off the beer belly.

Go accept my ballot designation as: ‘Publisher’.

Check out the chicks.

And, watch Barry hit 2.
