Watching City Hall #308, (8-27-04)

‘Vote for Greg (THE GORILLA) Corrales … or else!’

You might find it hard to believe that a cop charged with 77 separate brutality complaints would tell the mayor to get screwed (Newsom called for a 24 hour police presence at the City’s most dangerous trouble spots) and toss his hat into the ring as a candidate in a supervisory district.

You might find it hard to believe that this cop is one of the command staff who rushed at 3am to defend Alex Fagan Jr. after he and his off-duty cop buddies beat the shit out of two citizens in a strong-arm robbery (in Saudi Arabia, they’d just hack these thugs hands off in a public square).

You might find it hard to believe that this same knuckle-dragging barbarian also planted spies in Renee’ Saucedo’s ‘Day Laborer’ program to disrupt their meetings. The same illegal immigrant spies showed up at meetings at City Hall where they first pretended to not speak English (you get double time in public comment), then when busted by Board President Gonzalez, proceeded to praise “Captain Greg Corrales” as their hero. Later, these same guys showed up to ‘volunteer’ at the Gonzalez for Mayor campaign and then covered a huge anti-war rally in Delores Park as ice cream vendors. I mean, shit! If you can’t trust the ice cream vendor, who can you trust?

This is the same Mission Street Senior officer whose cops refused to protect the Gonzalez campaign headquarters: “We have better things to do.” … yeah, that’s what they said when called to deal with two more provocateurs who appeared several times going from office to office, pushing past campaign workers and going through cabinets and desk drawers.

Christine Linnenbach for Supervisor

Greg Corrales is the worst cop of all of the worst cops in San Francisco. … That’s what makes his entering the race for supervisor of District #7 such a total mother friggin’ hoot.

Yeah, he’s helping the Progressives whom he stomped all over for Willie Brown. … Anyone who doesn’t think his votes will come from Gavin’s new appointee (Sean Elsbernd) is dumber than me and has my sympathy.

With a couple of APA candidates splitting that particular demographic in #7, the moderate-to-progressive Linnenbach now actually has a chance to win in that district. She’s got a respected old family name, youth and is an attractive female. Not to even mention that she’s the smartest candidate. Eric Jaye must be pulling out pubic hairs by the handful while he counts his 50 grand of cash from Kevin Shelley.

“You should take that Kerry sign out of your window.”
(SFSOS rep to D-5 supe candidate, Jim Siegel)

Ahhhh, back to District 5, my present home. I missed y’all while I was helping my best friends, the Cohens, paint their house in Penn Grove. Lots has happened and I want to get you up to date on same.

Mirkarimi pulls away

Don’t you just love it when hypocrites show their hyps? … Like, for instance when ‘liberal’, ‘open’ groups like the Milk Club and Alice B. and the DCCC and SFSOS and Plan C all ignore candidates who don’t screw, brew and eschew their own narrow preferences (remember, the Democrats lost more than 50% of their own registered vote to the Green, Gonzalez last December) … ? … Don’t you love that?

The actions of the above groups reveal the narrow base of their elected officers. If their own voter blocs ignore the voting leaderships (unions included) … just who the hell do these people represent and what are their true agendas? Think about these assholes’ mission statements. It just might give you an idea as to what they hope to achieve through their involvement in the political process.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that a candidate has to perform sexual acts in opposition to their own orientation to get some endorsements or sell their souls to Downtown for others … no, wait! I am saying that. Yes, I’m absolutely convinced of it.

I’m tempted to tell you not to vote for any candidate who accepts a ‘sole’ endorsement from any group. These groups are thumbing their noses at the voters who said quite clearly that they want to try out IRV (‘Ranked Choice Voting’). But, I’ll save that.

Suffice to say that only the Mirkarimi campaign has kept the high democratic ground thus far in the D-5 contest. Everyone else is pursuing and coveting the support of organizations run by bigoted pigs.

Hell, I’ll extend that. I’ll say that you should not attend any forum that refuses to invite ALL of the candidates and treat them equally. AND, you shouldn’t vote for any candidate who attends such a convocation. … No, wait. I won’t say that yet. For now, I’ll just say that any forum that doesn’t include Robert Haaland as a participant is poison. Same for any venue that excludes Bill Barnes or Ross Mirkarimi. … So far that list would include SFSOS and Plan C. In a couple of days, unfortunately, I’ll have to add SF5T. Then, there will be the Chronicle editorial board. The Chron thinks it’s cool to have 25 editors and reporters but that more than

And, back to the Siegel quote. It came out at a D-5 Candidates Collaborative meeting at his house when the subject of the forthcoming SFSOS forum came up. Siegel said he’d had SFSOS people into his mansion for a visit and one of them disapproved of the Kerry for President sign. I mean, do you need any more evidence as to where SFSOS is coming from?

President of the Bored

The next President of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors will be Aaron Peskin. The vote will be 6 to 5 with District 3’s Little General defeating Newsom ‘Yes’ man, Bevan Dufty. Amazingly, the swing vote will come from District 10’s Sophie Maxwell who should have just about figured out that the Brown/Randlett/Newsom forces will not rest until she’s back being an electrician. The breakdown will be as follows.

For Peskin:

Peskin

Jake McGoldrick

I was wrong about McGoldrick’s chances for reelection. Jake will defeat Lilian Sing due to her own incompetence and Joe O’Donoghue’s brilliant move of getting Rose Tsai to enter the race.

Chris Daly

Anyone who saw Peskin and Daly work together in the Gonzalez campaign for mayor realizes these guys are going to be a pair for a long time. While this is Peskin’s last term, Daly will be around until 2010.

4. Ross Mirkarimi

Gonzo’s successor is an unquestioned Progressive.

Christine Linnenbach

Like Sophie Maxwell, she’s underrated now and will continue to be.

Sophie Maxwell

She’ll be the wild card next time just as she was last time. All eyes on Sophie. It will be downright funny to watch Feinstein’s people come calling on Maxwell after back-stabbing her for years.

Blum/Hellman (Newsom’s their proxy) forces

Dufty will vote for himself as ordered.

Ma is the least productive supervisor next to Pier.

Pier is the least productive supervisor.

Sandoval will do a ‘Leland Yee’ and continue to kiss Newsom’s butt.

Ammiano will complete his move to the right, out of spite.

That’s enuff.

Full moon tomorrow!
